I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to this new feature of our website.
After spending the last 5 months working on a new theme/layout for this site I am looking forward to developing as many new features as I can. Hopefully, some of the topics that I cover will be interesting enough to catch your attention and help you its readers to more deeply consider some of the topics that I will be covering.
This website has been present on the web in one form or another since about 1998. Many of the articles that you will find on the site were originally written while I was studying for a combined Bachelor Of Ministries/Advanced Diploma of Theology at Morling College in Sydney between 1994 and 1998.
Quite a number of the articles have been updated since that time and I am in the process of updating others.
I have noticed recently that there seems to be a general lack of understanding with regards to some of the overall themes within the Bible. I was particularly taken back just recently during a discussion on my Facebook page that someone could see the Bible as being anti-environment and antisocial. I had posted a status update on Facebook that I was currently reading a book by Anthony Flew titled, "There Is a God: How the World's Most Notorious Atheist Changed His Mind". I felt it to be quite a considered and well written exposition of one man's journey from atheism to theism and decided to promote proposed on Facebook.
So often, people form opinions on important topics without a full understanding of what the overall story is all about.
This does not mean that they have failed to read or research a particular topic but rather lack perspective. As we live in a world (particularly in the West) that is increasing becoming more secular due to the influence of Scientism (faith in all things scientific) it is important that we look at all counter arguments and evidence.
With the advent of the new atheist movement, of which Richard Dawkins appears to be the high priest, it has never been more important to defend the Christian faith.
